Yesterday, our student ambassadors got the chance to work with our own science communicator, Vhairi, and her old colleagues from Science Gallery Melbourne to develop their communication skills. Claire and Caleb from Science Gallery Melbourne gave students the tricks of the trade on how to effectively communicate different ideas. Then, following a sneak peek of their upcoming exhibition, DISPOSABLE, students were asked to choose an exhibit and design how they would visually and verbally communicate the scientific concept. The ambassadors’ ideas were awesome and we had a whole lot of fun thinking up creative ways to display the exhibits which, for one of them, included a bunch of mealworms.
