Industry Tech Taster

Technology is shaping and defining how we engage with industry. As consumers, we need to understand the capacity that technology has to positively disrupt the way that we work, study, and interact. 

This 1-day program showcases priority industry areas across Melbourne’s North including food and fibre, advanced manufacturing, scientific and technical, and health and social assistance. 

Students rotate through industry- and tech-based experiences delivered by Melbourne Polytechnic and industry-experienced practitioners, showcasing potential pathways to future study including VET and careers. 

Students will participate in a number of industry-linked activities which may include drone flying, virtual reality, podcasting, and systems engineering. The day will also involve a tour of Melbourne Polytechnic’s training facilities, including the state-of-the-art Green Skills Centre and the Aquaculture Training and Applied Research Centre to learn about sustainable technologies.
