Yesterday, my colleague Tess and I presented to 23 Saudi Arabian educators who are participating in a 40-week exchange program with Monash University. These teachers were keen to learn more about the Tech Schools Initiative, our approach to inquiry-based learning, and the high- and low-tech approaches we use with students when solving complex real-world problems. We talked them through our innovation process, showcased past student work and introduced our upcoming programs for 2020. The presentation prompted rich discussion about the implementation of STEM in schools and the influence access to technology has in a rapidly changing world.
